JR. Experimental Painting Camp:Ages 8-11

Like to paint? Just like art in general? Me, too. Let's paint stuff! This FOUR day camp is hands-on, fun, and experimental to boot. We will meet Tues., Wed., Thurs., and Fri., from 3-5p. We will be using acrylic, watercolor, and tempera paints as we explore what there really IS in our world to paint. We will be painting on surfaces other than canvas, such as laminating film (and then laminating it! So shiny!), wood, stones, shells, and leaf garlands. (If you have a precocious student that can work steadily for two hours and follow directions, but is younger than 8, please call Charlotte to see if they are able to join the camp.) Charlotte Broxon, licensed art educator and owner of The Golden Fish Art Studio, will lead this exciting and one of a kind camp. Charlotte is CPR & First Aid Certified, and has worked in both Albemarle and Goochland Counties as an art teacher, and with UVA's Gifted Saturday Enrichment Program as a contracted instructor. Students with learning differences are encouraged to attend. $50 reservation fee is non-refundable.
