Painting Camp: Ages 12-16+

Service Description

Are you a painter? Yes? This is the camp for you, then! Never painted before? This is the camp for you, too, then! All experience levels welcome for this low pressure, fun painting class. We will "Paint Your Pet" (or animal of your choice), design and symbolically paint a wooden box, go all experimental with watercolors, and even do a little mixed media. Wear old clothes and prepare to let your imagination soar, even while you sharpen up your painting skills! (If you have a precocious student that can work steadily for two hours and follow directions, but is slightly younger than 12, please contact Charlotte to see if they are able to join the camp.) Charlotte Broxon, licensed art educator and owner of The Golden Fish Art Studio, will lead this exciting and one of a kind camp. Charlotte is CPR & First Aid Certified, and has worked in both Albemarle and Goochland Counties as an art teacher, and with UVA's Gifted Saturday Enrichment Program as a contracted instructor. Students with learning differences are encouraged to attend. $50 reservation fee is non-refundable.
